The Vaporesso Xros 5 is the latest addition to the popular Xros series, offering a well-rounded upgrade for vapers seeking advanced performance in a compact, user-friendly design. Built with Vaporesso’s latest COREX 3.0 heating technology, the Xros 5 delivers improved flavour accuracy, longer coil life, and smoother airflow across all resistance levels.
Designed for versatility, the Xros 5 supports both MTL (Mouth-to-Lung) and RDTL (Restricted Direct-to-Lung) vaping styles, thanks to its adjustable airflow and full compatibility with all Xros pods, including the new 0.4Ω mesh pod. Straight out of the box, the Xros 5 feels premium. It’s got a slightly heavier body than the Xros 4 (weighing in at 73.7g), and that extra weight gives it a more substantial, high-end feel. It still fits perfectly in your pocket, and can be carried anywhere.
The design is sleek and minimal, and colour options don't have significant changes. Vaporesso still offers a lot of options for colour from black, white to more unique colour like Jade Green.
The HD 0.88-inch screen is small but bright, and the UI is clean and user-friendly. It even lets you change themes to make it more fun and exciting. The screen shows everything you need, from wattage, battery, puff count, and power mode, etc.
I like that Vaporesso kept it simple with one smart button that controls everything. You might need some time to get the function of this but it's so easy to use. This button is also the fire button, meaning the device has dual inhale activation. Under the fire button is the charging port with USB-C port.
The airflow adjustment is located on the other side of the vape kit. There are 2 airholes, and the slider gives you 3 modes of airflow: tight airflow, loose airflow, and partially tight airflow.
So far I have no complain about Vaporesso Xros 5 design since it's has the best of everything: size, colours, dual activation, dynamic screen and precise airflow.
One of the biggest highlights for me is the 1500mAh battery. It is a great upgrade from the 1000mAh battery of Xros 4. As someone who vapes throughout the day, I was shocked at how long this thing lasts. On Normal Mode, I got about three days before needing a charge. On Eco Mode, I almost hit four.
The USB-C fast charge is ridiculously fast. I went from empty to 80% in just 20 minutes. That’s faster than my phone. Xros 5 is a total game-changer for frequent vaper like me!
Vaporesso hyped up their COREX 3.0 Heating Tech, the latest innovation for improved flavour and performance. The flavour from this device is rich, detailed, and incredibly consistent with all coil resistance I have tried. The brand claims that Xros 5 can give 40% more aroma and 30% flavour delicacy. I cannot confirm this, but so far, I am still very satisfied with the performance.
I tested it with both nic salts and high VG shortfills, and it handled both beautifully. My favourite pod so far is the 0.6Ω mesh, which hits a really nice RDTL with balanced vapour and flavour. The 0.4Ω pod kicks harder and is great for cloud lovers, but it does go through the battery faster. The airflow is smooth, and I have no spit back as well as dry hits.
However, I do recommend using nic salts for this vape kit, as it gives the best performance so far. Other options are 50/50 vape juice and freebase 10ml vape juice.
When using the 0.4Ω pod, you can manually adjust the wattage anywhere between 5W and 30W, depending on how warm and intense you want your draw. For me, vaping at around 25W with the 0.4Ω coil gave me that dense, flavourful RDTL experience, perfect for fruity shortfills and high VG juices.
For other pod resistances, like 0.6Ω or 0.8Ω, the Xros 5 lets you choose one of three smart power modes:
This is something I don't like about Vaporesso Xros 5, and this happens with Xros 4 as well. Other than 0.4 Ohm, I cannot choose a precise wattage. This is not a big problem, although I love to try and explore different options.
Vaporesso stuck with the top-fill system, which is great. Here is how you refill the vape kit:
Tips: Buy the newest Vaporesso Xros Pods COREX 3.0 for the best performance and flavour!
We break down how the Xros 5 compares to each of these models in terms of battery life, controls, screen functionality, and overall design.
The Xros 5 is a full upgrade in power, display, and customisation compared to the Xros 4. Here are the key differences:
Each Vaporesso Xros device brings something unique to the table, but the Xros 5 clearly stands out as the most well-balanced option in the range. It combines the power and customisation of the Xros Pro, the usability improvements over the Xros 4, and more advanced features than the Xros 5 Mini.
After testing it thoroughly for this Vaporesso Xros 5 Review, I can confidently say: yes, the Xros 5 is a very good vape kit with COREX 3.0 heating technology, adjustable wattage, a larger battery, and a vibrant HD screen.
If you're looking for a pod kit that delivers flavour, flexibility, power, and reliability, the Vaporesso Xros 5 is one of the best choices in 2025. It’s not just an upgrade, it’s a proper evolution of the Xros line.
