The component of your e-cigarette that holds your e-liquid and contains the coil. The tank screws into the mod in most devices.
There are two main types of tanks, mouth to lung (MTL) and direct to lung (DTL).
Mouth to lung tanks are usually vaped by beginners, these are characterised by a small mouth piece and a narrow air intake. These tanks produce a small amount of cloud and are best used with high PG juices.
Direct to lung tanks are usually vaped by more advanced users. The mouth piece and air intake are generally much larger as this helps produce large volumes of cloud. These tanks are best used with high VG juices.
In most cases, yes. However, there may be the occasional incompatibilities such as the coil resistance being too low for them mod to support, or the mod not being able to provide the wattage necessary to heat the coil. E.g a SMOK vape pen tank paired with a Eleaf iStick 20w mod.
Yes, yes you can. The best way to clean your vape tank is to disassemble it (ensuring there is no coil or liquid in the tank) and either rinsing or soaking in warm water.
Firstly, check the glass for cracks or holes. Replace the glass if
this is the case.
Check and see if all seals are present, replace if necessary.
The coil could be due a change. Most coils contain cotton, which over time loses its ability to hold juice well. The constant heating and cooling down process
involved in vaping contributes to this.
Do you have the right juice for the tank? The bigger the airflow the higher the VG should be. High PG juices are not recommended in direct to lung (DTL) tanks, one of the reasons being that the tank will leak profusely when paired with
high PG juice.
Due to the tobacco products directive (TPD) all tanks sold in the United Kingdom cannot exceed 2ml in capacity. However,
in most cases replacement glasses or adapter kits can be purchased that will allow the tank to hold larger volumes.
