At the back, there is not much difference than the Vaporesso Xros 4 with a smart design of precise airflow slider. There are 2 airflow holes, a small and a large hole. You can freely adjust the airflow system by sliding the toggle to cover both holes, one hole or just half a hole. I love this design since it is so simple but very effective. It is perfect for beginners or those who want to try different vaping styles without a complicated vape kit.
One thing I appreciate is a device that doesn’t let me down when it comes to battery life. With the Xros 4 Mini, you’re packing a 1000mAh high-density battery that can last up to 48 hours. That’s TWO FULL days without needing to worry about charging – talk about convenience. The Xros 4 Mini is equipped with the AXON chip, which brings some serious intelligence to the table. This chip will automatically adjust the power wattage to match the pods and coil resistance you install. You don't have to worry about which level of power you should fix, which is such a relief for beginners.
From my point of view, I have no problems with these features because I assume the chip will know better which power wattage is the best for an excellent performance. However, for vapers who want to try more styles or customize their vaping sessions more, it could be a minus.
The chip also supports the Pulse Mode, in which the vape kit boosts the flavour intensity and helps you get a clearer taste of your e liquid. It is also supported by the COREX 2.0 Technology in the Vaporesso Pods, supporting coil lifespan and flavour consistency. If you are using disposable vapes and switch to this Vaporessso Xros 4 Mini, you will see a clear improvement in flavour. That is why I also recommend people switch to vape kits besides all the reasons about sustainability and the disposable vape ban in 2025.
Since it is a mini kit, the box only comes with one pod with a built-in 0.4 Ohm coil. This pod is designed for RDTL Vaping so it can go with both High VG e-liquids or Nic Salts. I used the Elux Mr Blue Nic Salts to try and test the performance of this pod. The result was very impressive, with a full, rich flavour. The nic salts gave me a smooth throat hit and satisfying nicotine absorption. In addition, I tried the vape kit with freebase IVG Frozen Cherries, and I have no complaints, as well. Of course, this is an RDTL pod, so the e-liquid and battery run out faster.
Besides the 0.4 Ohm in the box, I also tried other coil resistances from the Xros Pods collection. From what I have experienced, I have to say this is a perfect choice if you love an MTL Vape. The 0.8 Ohm and 1.2 Ohm perform well with all kinds of vape juice, including nic salts and free base, even better than the 0.4 Ohm. And it is such an upgrade from disposable vapes. I experienced NO leaking issues, and the pods will last up to 14 days.
