The Vaporesso XROS Mini was a solid starter device, and now the XROS 3 Mini steps in as its upgraded sibling. Vaporesso claims improved airflow, better flavour, and a more modern design – but does it actually feel like a real upgrade, or just a repackaged version of the same kit? This Vaporesso Xros 3 Mini Review is an honest review from a user's perspective.
First impressions? It’s cleaner and sleeker than the original. The finish feels smoother, and the design lines are a bit more modern. The curved edges make this Vaporesso Pod Kit more comfortable to hold, though it's still ultra-compact and very light.
One nice touch is the glowing LED bar at the bottom – subtle, but a step up in terms of looks. That said, the LED might not be enough if you like tracking the exact battery level. As a mini version, this vape kit does not come with any LED Screen as well, which is understandable. From my side, it is a minus since I love an interactive vaping experience.
The 1000mAh battery is unchanged from the original XROS Mini, and that’s mostly a good thing. It comfortably lasts a day for light-to-moderate users, even when using the 0.6Ω pod.
Charging is quick with USB-C, and the multi-colour LED light bar does give a clearer idea of battery level compared to the single dot on the old Mini.
However, heavy users might still find themselves recharging more frequently, especially if they prefer the lower-resistance pods. There is nothing to complain about the battery and energy charging of the Vaporesso Xros 3 Mini.
Vaporesso talks a big game with its new Corex heating and Pulse Mode technology, and to be fair, the flavour is a little sharper than the older XROS Mini – especially with the included 0.6Ω pod.
The 0.6Ω pod gives you warmer vapour, stronger flavour, and a more open MTL draw. It leans slightly into restricted DTL territory. However, it is hard to say if it makes a huge difference.
If you're more into traditional mouth-to-lung hits, the higher resistance Vaporesso pods (like 0.8Ω or 1.0Ω) feel more controlled and smoother, though flavour is slightly muted compared to the 0.6Ω pod.
Pulse Mode is meant to deliver a steady hit throughout your drag – and it mostly does. But in real-world use, the difference is subtle at best and hard to notice unless you’re actively comparing side by side.
One thing that stands out more is the airflow. While there's still no adjustable control, the natural draw is slightly more open than the XROS Mini.
This is where the XROS 3 Mini really holds its ground. There are no buttons, no menus, and no settings. Just plug in a pod and inhale.
And while the vape kit feels solid, the lack of a fire button means you’re stuck with draw-activation only — not everyone’s favourite method, especially if you like more control over when the coil heats.
The top-fill pod system hasn’t changed – you still pop off the mouthpiece to fill it. Using the device over a week or two, the pod life holds up fairly well – flavour starts to fade around day 7–14, depending on your juice and how often you vape.
You can choose from different coil resistances in the replacement pods range: 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, and 1.2 ohms.
Refilling the Vaporesso XROS 3 Mini pods is hassle-free – just remove the mouthpiece to access the filling port, without needing to detach the pod from the device.
The Vaporesso XROS 3 Mini makes some worthwhile tweaks to an already solid design. It looks better, the flavour’s a bit punchier, and it's still just as easy to use. But at its core, it’s not a massive leap from the previous Mini – more like a refined version than a true upgrade.
If you already have a XROS Mini and love it, you might not need to switch. But if you're buying your first compact pod kit or want a simple second device that performs well, the XROS 3 Mini does the job — just don’t expect it to blow your mind.
